Founder

Mr. Baba Kamal-deen is the founder and Executive Director of the Young Peace Ambassadors. He was born in Karaga in the Northern part of Ghana.  He had both his Primary and Junior High Education at Ishadia E/A Basic School in Karaga. He proceeded to Bimbilla Senior High School, where he had his secondary education. He obtained his professional carrier as a teacher at the E.P College of Education in Bimbilla. He also has a Bachelor of Education Degree in Basic Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. The Executive Director holds a Master of Art Degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC), Ghana.

Having grown up and lived in conflict-prone communities in the northern part of Ghana, he developed a passion for peacebuilding and community development after school. He worked with the West African Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) and the Northern Regional Peace Council as a community monitor. He has led and coordinated several processes aimed at empowering people as well as building peace in communities for development.

He founded the Young Peace Ambassadors in November 2022 to champion the cause of peace and development through advocacy, care for the vulnerable as empowerment of the youth, and women to become economically independent.
